A Message from Vancouver for BookCamp Toronto 2010 (by @seancranbury)
It pains me to miss the masterful amazingness of BookCamp Toronto this year but I know that the ideas and energy are going to be powerful and inspiring nonetheless.
The BookCamp idea is founded on the principles of the crowd: of inclusiveness, openness and consideration. It's a cerebral jam session where the floor is open for new ideas to be discussed by people from across disciplines, generations and areas of expertise.
It's about listening, participating and learning how to ask better questions. It's also about the community of incredible people who are changing the way that we relate to ideas about books, storytelling, histories, technology and literature.
So, if you're going to show up tomorrow... please participate. Roll up your sleeves, get a little dirt under your nails
And remember: BookCamp Toronto started it all. It begat BookCamp Vancouver and BookCamp Halifax.
You're participating in the revolution. Help it revolve!
